21-year-old Dylan is interested in a teaching career, but he also has a passion for sports as he grew up playing basketball. His conversation with Jake, an Ivy League Athletics Executive, helped shed a light on the intersection of education and athletics. His other mentor, Rich, shared his experience as a teacher. However, Dylan and Rich’s relationship deviated from the traditional exploratory playbook as they meet frequently to catch up while Rich has become a “life mentor.” Rich continually shares insightful life advice for Dylan and supports him as he pursues his degree. Their video calls are constantly filled with laughter as they share stories and jabs back and forth, just as friends do.
