Julia came to Connecting Champions with a very specific mentor request: a female mechanic who can guide her through the challenges of being a woman in a male-dominated field. We found Audra, a 4th generation auto shop owner and certified mechanic who also founded Women Auto Know, an educational organization teaching all about auto repair. Julia and Audra immediately clicked as Julia shared her dreams of finding a job that respects her and allows her to follow her passion. Their conversations are vulnerable and honest as Audra helps Julia figure out what her future in this field could look like.
