BetaNYC is a public-interest tech nonprofit that believes in democracy. Our work pioneered NYC’s Open Data Law and helped shape the civic tech community we cherish today. Since 2008, we’ve trained over 10,000 New Yorkers in open data and mentored 91 Civic Innovation Fellows. Annually, over 5,000 attend NYC's Open Data Festival, which we co-produce with the City's Open Data Team. We focus on empowering communities with the tools to engage with government.

What Your Donation Supports.Your support funds our weekly public interest tech newsletter, our open data and civic mapping classes, and other public programs that strengthen NYC’s civic tech ecosystem, aka Open Data Week and NYC School of Data.

NOTE - If you are attending our NYC School of Data event, you can pick up items in person. If you are NOT attending our NYC School of Data event, we will ship things in mid-April. If we run out of items, we will let you know via email or phone.

How will we thank you

Stickers

For every $2 you donate, we’ll send you a 3x2 UV-resistant, waterproof sticker via USPS First-Class Mail.

$6 donation = 3 stickers, $12 donation = 6 stickers, $100 donation = 50 stickers, $1,000 donation = 500 stickers! Note, the minimum donation is now $6. If you want to get stickers + other items, make sure you select a custom amount and ensure you add a note to your donation. Note, we will not ship prints nor t-shirts internationally. 

Prints

We have amazing 12-inch-by-12-inch acid-free, semi-glossy fine art paper prints, perfect for your favorite vinyl record frame. We will distribute these prints in cardboard tubes. If you want a print and other items, make sure you select a custom amount and ensure you add a note to your donation. At this time, we will not ship prints internationally.

A $25 donation will be thanked with a print and TWO stickers.

Prints do not have a red border nor do they ship in a frame.

Tote Bags

Show your support for BetaNYC and democracy wherever you go. 

Size 15" H x 14.5" W x 3" D. 10 oz., midweight cotton canvas with contrasting polypropylene handles. Bag features a bottom 3" gusset and royal blue handles that are 22" with a 10" drop.

A donation of $35 will include one tote bag and two stickers. 

If you care to include other items in the donation, please add their values to the custom donation note.
