Dear people, Hi, our names are Sage and Lexi, and we are currently 12 years old in sixth grade. We learned about vaquitas a year ago and instantly fell in love with how cute they looked. All their characteristics, like their black eyes and short, stubby bodies, were adorable. Later, we learned they were the most endangered marine animal in the world. After we determined just how endangered the vaquitas were and how few people knew about them, we decided we wanted to do something. The next week, we set up a little stand outside. We previously did something like this to help stop animal cruelty by selling hot chocolate. This time we sold homemade munchkins, lemonade, and made crafts. Later in the day, we also sold candles, pictures, stickers, and postcards. We stayed outside for eight hours and raised just over $400. We educated people about the vanquitas to spread awareness about them. Many people tipped without buying anything to help the endangered animals. So we hope to help in a small way by giving the money we made to you guys. We know this isn’t a lot of money, but we hope this donation will help even in the smallest way. Sincerely, Sage and Lexi
