This follow-up included an informal study that indicated side effects not listed by drug companies before use for Neurofibromatosis Type 2 since these drug treatments had been used for other conditions prior never exceeding six months.
NF2 Information and Services continues to monitor medications in drug trials as well as health issues for NF2 all of which can be found on the NF2 Information and Services website but needs your help to keep up to date on these drug treatments and other issues. More up to date information would be possible with more donations.
NF2 Information and Services would like to help information gathered to help research for new treatments.
If you are interested in seeing more information on any of the previously listed topics at www.nf2is.org, please help with donations. Donations include a question of what topic you would like NF2 Information and Services to spend more time researching.
Why a List of Topics?
New research papers are available online daily, funding for regular access to new material is necessary. Neurofibromatosis Type 2 (NF2) results in many issues from tumor growths, but not all NF2 issues are the result of tumor damage including some eye issues and some forms of nerve damage. Because of this, developments in treatments for Diabetes Type 2 and Multiple Sclerosis (MS) could also help people with NF2.
If treatments become available for Diabetes Type 2 and MS but are not aware of NF2, these treatments will not be available to people with NF2 as well.
Alternate Donation Funds: Education and Physical Therapy
Donations specifically to this link are for Education: Print Material, Online Material and Events, and Seminars for Doctors, but NF2 Information and Services also needs help with funding to read research material and for efforts to help people with physical therapy for balance Recovery:
