Incarcerated writers and journalists, the likes of revolutionaries Assata Shakur and Mumia Abu-Jamal, are wielding the pen every day as an act of protest. The tradition of journalism behind bars boasts a rich history that is steeped in the ongoing fight for liberation for all our people. Legal Services for Prisoners with Children (LSPC) is proud to be part of that history. The All of Us or None (AOUON) Newspaper is a monthly print publication sent to thousands of currently and formerly incarcerated readers across hundreds of facilities in the U.S.
We send a print copy of the newspaper to all of our in-custody members, completely free, every month. A platform to connect across walls, share resources, and organize, the AOUON Newspaper is uniquely positioned to support and elevate our comrades behind bars. Most importantly, our readers shape the paper: members submit articles, letters, poems, and art for publication in the paper. We honor and uplift the expertise gained from every creator’s lived experience of incarceration.
Your subscription will support the operation of the newspaper and help sustain the printing and mailing of newspapers to all our members. In return, you will receive a full-color, 8-page newspaper in your mailbox every month.
Annual subscriptions are valid from January-December. If you take out an annual subscription after January, you will receive newspapers starting the month of your subscription date.
We are committed to keeping the AOUON Newspaper accessible for currently and formerly incarcerated AOUON members. Just email uma@prisonerswithchildren.org to discuss pickup or mail options!
