My Foster Kids Foundation 2020 Operating Budget
UPDATE: Due to the coronavirus our thrift store, the sole funding source of the organization, was forced to close. We need the funding to have staff in place to still provide for foster children. At this point we do not have the funds. If you, or anyone you know, can help us out with a financial contribution to help us get through this crisis, it would be appreciated more than you know. Not only by us, but by every foster child that we provide services to.
Fosters reStore was created by My Foster Kids Foundation, Inc. as the method to distribute no-cost clothing to foster kids and as the source of fundraising for operating the foundation. The store is doing great but some times it falls short. We operate on such a thin line that most times expenses outweigh revenue. This is where we turn to you for help.
Foster kids come into care with little to no clothing, most times only the clothing on their backs. That's where we come in. We supply no-cost clothing to empower foster kids in this time of their life where they have no control, and to ease the financial burden on foster parents as they care for these children. And kids grow, and grow fast. We also take care of the ongoing needs of foster children while in care.
Our generosity doesn't ever end. If a child is adopted while in foster care, we will continue to supply that child with the clothing and items they need as they grow with their new family.
We can't do this alone. We need your help. Any size donation is appreciated and will be used to restore dignity and self-esteem to a foster child by letting them choose the clothing they want, and the styles they want. No longer do they have to rummage through trash bags full of old torn, stained clothing. Please show you care and help the children with whatever you can.
