New Moon Opera is a non-profit opera troupe dedicated to presenting fun and accessible opera to Chicago and the surrounding communities. We've been creating new opera fans since 2014!

Ticket sales help us to cover some of the cost of our productions, but we rely on the support of our donors to help us put on our shows and pay our artists. This season we are expanding our season from one full production to two! Our 2017-18 Season includes:

Offenbach Double Bill: Bagatelle and Mesdames de la Halle - December 1-3, 2017

Two of Jacques Offenbach's comedic one-act operas, presented in French with English dialogue and supertitles, accompanied by piano.

Cinderella Outreach Program - Various dates TBA

An original show written by New Moon Opera artists, combining excerpts of famous operas with a quirky Cinderella story. Last year students at Chappell School said: "This is so funny, the best show ever. I want to keep watching this. I will laugh all day!" (Aiden, 3rd grade)

Cendrillon by Pauline Viardot - March 16, 18, 23, and 25

Pauline Viardot's bel canto Cinderella will be performed with piano accompaniment.
