Goal
Our goal is to bring hope and comfort to children that face violence of every kind. The Faith Ladies Football Club is an initiative started by Esther Dankwah, Founder & Director of Esther Dankwah Foundation. During her trips to Ghana, Esther discovered teenage girls in Accra were trapped in prostitution, either forced by poverty or gangs bent on exploiting their naivety living in a big city like Accra.
With this realization, Esther launched the club to help rescue the girls out of the street. Doing this involved getting them a new community home, training allowance, training materials, food, and a small pocket allowance for their daily needs. At the moment, there are 20 girls living in the safe community home.
Our goal this year is to expand the temporary safe community home; job training; medical care; therapy & post-traumatic care; hygiene needs; food; soccer materials and personal allowance.
