Fellow Islanders and Canadians,

As you know, we have a reputation for caring about one another. When someone goes missing in our communities, we tend to know someone who knows the family, and we all hope for a positive outcome. We hope that someone, somewhere will find them. Finding a lost person involves more than local law enforcement or fire departments. It takes a whole team of people working together who are experienced and trained. With its national training standards, professional knowledge, and elite training, PEI Ground Search and Rescue is that team.

PEI GSAR is an organization of over 100 volunteers who dedicate their lives to this service. However, this service does not come without a cost. Our ability to deploy at a moment's notice demands high calibre training, and properly maintained vehicles and equipment. That is why we come to you, our neighbours and friends.

During a time of crisis, many ask, “What can we do to help?” Our answer is to please donate! We have a team of willing, dedicated volunteers, but we need the funds to allow them to do their job. Lives depend on it! Please donate as you are able. 

Prince Edward Island Ground Search and Rescue is a volunteer-based, non-profit, charitable organization based in Charlottetown which serves the entire province of Prince Edward Island and sometimes assists neighboring GSAR teams in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. PEI GSAR members are available to respond 365 days a year, at all hours, and in all weather. With your help, you will enhance our ability to save lives by locating lost people faster.
