Goal
In a time of great challenges within the broader music industry, we are continuing to hold strong — and grow — as a space that is run by artists and puts artists’ needs first, using our decades of cumulative experience in a rapidly changing field to help build and sustain their careers. We choose projects without regard to commercial impact but, once selected, we treat each project as a work that can reach wide and deeply passionate audiences.
Looking ahead to what promises to be an enormously impactful 2024, we ask that you consider making a donation to NewAm. In 2024, your contributions will support, among our many other artist-centered endeavors:
A long-awaited podcast, featuring in-depth examinations of music from the NewAm community, providing a platform for our artists to directly communicate the context and intent of their work.
The expansion of our Composers Lab, including in-person meetups and Fellowships for artists from historically underrepresented communities
New partnerships with venues, studios, and festivals around the country and the world
A new concert series in New York, with details to be announced in the new year
In support of our campaign, a selection of artists from our 2023 and upcoming 2024 seasons are making a small collection of specially-chosen tracks available to donors. Contribute $50 or more to our year-end campaign and you’ll get a link to a secret page that contains an unfolding mix of previews of the 2024 albums we’re excited to bring into the world over the year to come, along with a few special unreleased tracks from our 2023 artists. Looking Back / Looking Forward is a celebration of the great music we released in 2023, while looking ahead to an exciting 2024.
We’ll start releasing the new tracks in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for more! Thank you to everyone who has every donated to NewAm — we deeply appreciate your belief in what we do.
