It’s been a powerful and memorable year for New Amsterdam Records, with a slate of albums and live performances that attracted widespread attention and rewarded our deep listening. To celebrate 2022, while looking ahead to an exciting 2023, New Amsterdam Records is offering a special benefit to donors this giving season: a compilation of tracks called Looking Back / Looking Forward. Donate $25 or more and you’ll get a link to download that week’s pair of tracks, and at the end of the year you’ll be sent a download code where you can gain access to the entire compilation.

Looking Back / Looking Forward is a carefully curated collection of special material that you can only hear this year via our compilation. It’s a mix of new tracks and live performances from our 2022 artists, along with previews of the 2023 albums we’re excited to bring into the world over the year to come. You’ll hear music from artists such as Jerome Begin & David Friend, Molly Joyce, Awadagin Pratt, Ben Sloan, Annika Socolofsky, Darian Donovan Thomas, Jason Treuting, and more.

We at NewAm believe in the power of personal musical statements that arise from artists’  individual imaginations.. To that end, NewAm is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that gives 100% of revenues from record sales to the musicians themselves. Removing our own commercial interest means we can focus entirely on the strength of those artistic visions, not on the profit we can make from them.
