Scriptures in Sign Language

Making the Word of God Available in Nepali Sign Language

Country: Nepal

Ministry: Deaf Ministry / Bible Literacy

Out of 26 millions people living in Nepal, there are 700,000 deaf people in Nepal. They use sign language as their primary means of communication. Thus, sign language is used in the same way as hearing people use spoken language.

There are very few Christians and most Deaf cannot get the chance to study and learn sign language and discover the Living Word of God for themselves.

Your contribution will greatly impact the literate with Bible Scriptures in sign language and help the illiterate deaf people to learn sign language. Also, this project will help to improve the status and use of Nepali sign language and promote a better understanding of the Deaf community.
