PROJECT NEHEMIAH

From the beginning the mission here at Etena Fou Church has been to spread the word of God, and share the message of salvation here in the Las Vegas valley. Not solely to the Samoan community, but we remain ‘open to all’ who seek the fellowship, hope, and comfort that comes with our faith in the living God. Being ‘open to all’ however, sometimes allow for those not seeking to build but instead to tear down into our midst. We’ve dealt with the occasional act of vandalism from time to time, and sadly these occurrences have become more frequent, and escalated. Most recently, some misguided individuals set fire to our property. By God’s grace, and the watchful persistence of local Law Enforcement we were lucky to not completely lose our Hall/Learning center. We are even more thankful that no one was physically hurt during this ordeal. Damages due to the fire are on the way to being repaired, and our resolve has never been stronger. We’ve set in motion our Nehemiah Project to help fund building a wall/gating to help protect and fortify our Church boundaries from further damages. Like in the times of Nehemiah this mountain of a task will require help from everywhere we can get it, and from anyone who is willing. With each passing day we’re still exposed, making it critical to take measures to protect from future damage. We need this sooner than the 52 days it took Nehemiah, and recognize the time to act is now. Nehemiah 2:20: “…the God of heaven is the one who will give us success, and we his servants are going to start building….” We are humbly accepting donations to help with our building project, and wish God’s continued blessings to you all – friends, family, colleagues near & far for your kindness and generosity.
