Help us promote healthcare equity for the urban American Indian and Alaska Native population!
American Indians and Alaska Natives (AI/AN) living in urban areas suffer greater rates of chronic disease, infant mortality, and suicide compared to all other populations. Urban Indian Organizations (UIOs) around the country are on the front lines in providing for the health and well-being of the seventy percent (70%) of American Indians and Alaska Natives living off-reservation. Unfortunately, despite being a fundamental, inseverable component of the Indian Health Service (IHS) system, Urban Indian Organizations are chronically underfunded.
NCUIH is the only national organization that advocates for the health of urban AI/AN, and we provide critically needed technical assistance, training, policy support, and other services to the urban population located throughout the United States.
Your Support Matters! With your contribution, we can advance our work in protecting and advocating for quality, accessible, and culturally competent healthcare services for all urban American Indians and Alaska Natives!
Your generous gift will support our critical work in a number of ways, including:
- Advocacy
- Research
