In this secular culture, Catholics need the guidance of the Church during their most vulnerable moments.

We live in a world desperately searching for the light of truth. But there are many circumstances in people’s lives where that truth can be obscured by confusion and complexity.

This is where the NCBC comes in. Our ethics consultants don’t only offer advice—based on the authoritative teaching of the Church—for the concrete circumstances of the Catholics who reach out to us. We also accompany and pray for them. Here are examples of people who need our help:

The husband and wife who repented of IVF, with embryonic children still frozen in liquid nitrogen, wondering how best to love them and respect their human dignity now.
The Catholic nurse with pangs of conscience about her role with a patient using contraceptives or an IUD prescribed by the doctor.
The adult son of an elderly woman with Alzheimer's and difficulty eating and drinking, wondering about hospice and nutrition and hydration.
