National Share a Story Month 2026

National Share a Story Month is in the month of May, and it feels especially meaningful this year.

At a time when so many young people feel unheard or underestimated, storytelling becomes a form of agency. Young Storytellers doesn’t just teach writing—it helps students believe their experiences are worth sharing. 

Since its inception, Young Storytellers has helped over 30,000 students realize the power of their voice. Students leave our programs with the confidence to lead, the creativity to solve problems, and the ability to collaborate with others.

Help us reach more students as we celebrate #NationalShareAStoryMonth and raise $15,000 so we can reach over 780 students in 39 schools this spring semester!
