National Queer and Trans Birth Workers Convening: Challenging Barriers, Taking Space, MANACAM17
MANACAM17 is excited to announce the “National Queer and Trans Birth Workers Convening: Challenging Barriers, Taking Space” to kick off the annual conference! This convening will happen at the conference hotel on Wednesday, November 1st from 2pm-6pm with an informal dinner to follow.
The convening is open to all LGBTQIA and gender non-conforming birth workers and folks who are interested in birth support. The event is meant to be a space for queer, trans and gender non-conforming folks to build community, expand possibilities, and help each other break down barriers to access and care and navigate the unique challenges we face.
In order to support this work now and in the future, we’re asking for a sliding scale donation of $20 to register. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds. We are also asking allies of the community, who can’t attend but who may want to support this convening, to make a donation. All funds will be used to directly fund this year’s National Queer and Trans Birth Workers Convening and any work that grows out of it.
If you plan to register without a donation, please register here.
Elephant Circle is partnering with the MANA Division of Access and Equity to bring you this event.
