Established by former BAF Board member Nancy Smith, this fund will generate income to provide scholarships to students attending a West Virginia higher education institution and pursing a curriculum that includes environmental preservation and protection. Recipients of the scholarship shall be from southern WV with preference given to residents of Raleigh County. This permanent endowment reflects Mrs. Smith’s concern that future generations will always have the opportunity to enjoy a “wild, wonderful West Virginia.”
