🥋 Kick the Risk. Save Lives. ⚽
Donate to or join our national campaign to help reduce drowning risk in the autism community.
Wandering (also called elopement) is a common and dangerous safety concern for individuals with autism. Nearly half of children with autism have a tendency to wander from safe settings. When water is nearby, the risk becomes critical.
🚨 Drowning remains the leading cause of death following wandering.
🚨 Children with autism are 160 times more likely to die from drowning than their peers.
🚨 On average, seven children with autism die each month after wandering — most often due to drowning.
That’s why we are asking karate studios 🥋, soccer teams ⚽, families, and sponsors everywhere to promote water safety and support the National Autism Association’s life-saving safety programs.

Your donation helps NAA provide:
• Big Red Safety Boxes (free when available)
• Be REDy Toolkits for caregivers, teachers & first responders
• Water safety education & prevention resources
• Emergency preparedness materials
• Community awareness campaigns that emphasize Search Water First
NAA has distributed over 80,000 free Big Red Safety Boxes to families. With 1 in 31 children now being diagnosed with autism, the need to put safety resources and education directly into families’ hands continues to grow.
For individuals at highest risk — including young children, nonspeaking individuals, and those with profound needs — immediate water search can mean the difference between life and death.
Every kick. Every event. Every dollar helps prevent tragedy.
