Goal
We are all part of a global pandemic. We have shut down major parts of our lives in an effort to "Flatten the curve", to slow the spread of a virus with no vaccine, that targets the vulnerable. We know we are only now beginning to see the effects of our drastic changes. We know that as infections alter their meteoric rise, they still far exceed our healthcare capacity to manage safely. We know we need to do everything we can to help each other through this. It can be overwhelming to face a problem of this magnitude, and find a way to make an impact. We found a way, and you can join us.
We want to purchase protective masks to donate to Nashua area first responders. Our Police Fire and ambulance workers are out there every day responding to calls, despite the added risk of exposure to Covid 19. They are forced to further isolate from their family and loved ones, because of the risks that their exposure carries, and they make this sacrifice without complaint. They take precautions, and they are well trained, but supplies are short. We want to help. We have a supplier through Oscar Villacis, who can ship orders of up to a million masks in 7-10 days. Oscar has already been in touch with local hospitals and assisted living facilities, help us hit our first goal of $1000. Every $2 you donate could protect first responders, preserve our health care capacity and help flatten the curve. and see us through this. You will protect our first responders, and their families, and their loved ones.
We asked for your help, you heard us. We have surpassed our $1000 initial goal, to purchase our first shipment of masks, on April 11. Masks are due to arrive on April 18, and we will immediately deliver them where needed.
But we know this is far from finished, so we will keep working as they keep working, with your help we will keep spreading the word and keep fundraising for masks. Every Saturday night through the month of April we are hosting an online open mic, with performers from around the community and the country. Please support us, make this effort, your effort. Spread the word, and get involved to impact.
We are a 501c3 Organization, you contributions are tax exempt. We can do this together, we will get through this together.
