Mykola Taran Runs in Alaska to Support UNITED24’s Sports Development Program
Mykola Taran is a Ukrainian ultramarathon runner, activist, and organizer of charity races who uses his sport to tell the world about Ukraine, supporting important fundraising campaigns. He became the first Ukrainian to complete 80 km races in Norway and Paris, finished a marathon in Juneau, the capital of Alaska, and has earned podium finishes in ultramarathon races in Alaska. He has taken part in dozens of races across Europe and the United States, and holds 5 Ukrainian ultramarathon records.
On September 19, Mykola will take on the Fairbanks Marathon in Alaska to support UNITED24's Sports Development program. 2 more Alaskan marathons will follow — in Kenai on September 27 and in Girdwood on October 3. Each race is a reminder that Ukrainian sports continue to live on and need support. Join this fundraiser and help restore sports facilities where Ukrainians can train, grow, and pursue new victories.
