Goal
Myanmar Labour News
Myanmar Labour News (MLN) is a Yangon-based labour news organization. It seeks to ‘uphold the rule of law needed to improve the social-economic life of the working class in Myanmar’ and further to support Myanmar’s transition to democracy through its media work.
MLN was founded in 2019. Initially, it mainly focused on labours rights issues.
Over the past few years, MLN has published one or two daily news stories in Burmese language on its website. In mid-2023, MLN begun translating some of its key Burmese news pieces into English. Occasionally, it publishes video news and labour surveys on its site, too.
MLN is active on social media, including Myanmar’s most popular platform Facebook, with over 800,000 subscribers to its Facebook page, where MLN posts several times daily.
Our Journalist Need to Support
According to the current situation in Myanmar, it has become difficult for journalists to be free and independent.
We need a lot of help and support from our friends in order to continue reporting on the violation of labor rights.
Thank for your support.
