Goal

When Andy was born in 2000, I was so very fortunate that our hospital had another mom on staff to wrap her arms around me the day after. She helped me realize life could still be fun when she showed me a photo of her son on a bike, and she gave me hope and information when she gave me the book, "Babies with Down Syndrome." I was surprised to later learn that my story was the exception and not the rule. So, I've spent the past 26 years trying to make sure other moms like me receive that same blanket of information and support after their babies are born with a genetic condition. So I hope you'll join me this Mother's Day in making a donation to help us continue doing that important work.

Each year, about 70,000 parents, advocacy leaders, and medical providers visit our Lettercase and Down Syndrome Pregnancy websites to get information and support following a prenatal or postnatal diagnosis. All our resources are available for free online, and we send about 2,000 free printed books per year to any parent or doctor who requests them. Our goal is simple... to make sure new and expectant moms get the information and support they need following a diagnosis of Down syndrome and other genetic conditions.

But we need your help to do this important work. We need to be able to send those items Priority Mail when the requests come in, and we need to be able to show up at medical conferences to hand them to genetic counselors and doctors to frame that vulnerable moment. So, please consider making a donation today to provide a lifeline to those moms.
