Missouri Teach Agriculture Fund

More than 26,000 students across Missouri are enrolled in high school agriculture classes in 353 schools. Those students receive instruction, guidance and support from 514 agriculture teachers. Ag education teachers do a remarkable job preparing their students for their futures beyond high school. In 2019, 95.1% of high school agricultural education graduates were placed either in college or a technical school, in the workforce, or in the military!

Even with more than 500 teachers currently, there is a growing need for more agriculture teachers. The Missouri Vocational Agriculture Teachers Association plays a vital role in recruiting and supporting these new teachers.

The agriculture industry is far-reaching and multifaceted. Whether it’s teaching a core concept such as maintaining soil health or exploring technological concepts such as building and maintaining drones, in order to ensure their students success today and in the future, ag teachers must continuingly hone their own knowledge and skills in the latest industry developments. Providing ongoing training and acting as a centralized resource of proven instructional content and strategies is a key function of the Missouri Vocational Agriculture Teachers Association.

When you make a gift to the Missouri Teach Agriculture Fund you are making it possible for new teachers to be recruited and all teachers to receive ongoing training and support.
