Legacy Foundation for Girls is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that educates, encourages, and empowers girls and young mothers of color to be catalysts for change through transformational programs.
Our goal is to raise $30,000 this year. $30K would cover all programs and expenses for the year. Our goal is to successfully secure100 monthly givers. If 100 people commit to giving at least $25 a month we can meet this goal.
Legacy Leadership Academy for Girls is the Foundation's flagship program and longest running.
Legacy Leadership Academy for Girls is a multi-year residency program designed to build a sisterhood bound through service, leadership, and empowerment and inspire girls of color across the Greater New Orleans area while working collaboratively with their mothers to strengthen the entire family.
Legacy Leadership Academy for Girls program is committed to supporting girls starting in Middle School through high school graduation and beyond. The program starts with a summer residency, girls work on a year long “agent of change project” that will impact their school and/or community, read a variety of inspiring literature, work on communication and writing skills, and meet exceptional and inspiring women from across the city. All girls are also paired with a mentor.
We are hoping you would be willing to support this effort. It is a real opportunity to make an impact on a group of girls in the New Orleans area and possibly change the trajectory of their lives.
Our children have the potential to do anything, and through Legacy Foundation for Girls, girls will be empowered to use their natural leadership abilities and talents to positively impact change in their communities, schools, and their own lives.
