ADVOCACY AND EDUCATION: Our mission is to promote cycling through programs and initiatives that help build healthier, more environmentally friendly and connected communities. We are dedicated to the promotion of cycling as an empowering, community-enriching, fun, environmentally sustainable, and active mode of transportation. We are the only provider of cycling education for children and adults in Windsor and Essex County - and we do this with no funding beyond memberships, grants and donations from folks like you. 

GARAGE 529:  It's time to do something about rampant bike theft! We're bringing 529 Garage, the largest community-powered bike recovery service employed by more than 400 law enforcement agencies, universities, bike clubs and bike shops around the world. We're currently in discussions with Windsor Police, OPP and LaSalle Police to partner on this critical issue.

$10,000. will provide the resources needed to run the program for 3 years including hosting, outreach, education on bike theft, and providing FREE Garage 529 shields for every bike. 

During this year's busy outreach season events, Bike Windsor Essex volunteers will engage people from across the region to deploy 529 Garage. We'll promote, help people register their bikes using the app, install shields on bicycles, and provide information on how to fight bike theft.
