Goal
Dear Family and Friends,
I feel so fortunate to share that I will be returning to the Philippines this coming April to participate in the HAND-Philippines 2026 Medical Mission. Attending the 2025 mission was so incredibly rewarding, every community member I met was thankful for the care we provided. This experience has been truly influential to my nursing practice and perspective on life. I am so eager to return to assist those in need and provide medical services where healthcare is limited. Donations are crucial for providing these services and impacting the lives of so many in need. I am hopeful to raise two thousand dollars by March 31, 2026. Please read further to learn more about HAND-Philippines and the 2026 Medical Mission.
Thank you for your support!
The HAND-Philippines Medical Mission 2026 Fund Campaign reflects our steadfast commitment to delivering essential healthcare to underserved communities. This initiative plays a crucial role by directly funding patient care costs and logistics necessary to operate five mobile clinics, each aligned with a Rural Health Unit (RHU) in our targeted areas. In addition, we offer vital hospital-based services, including cataract surgeries, cleft palate repairs, elective major surgeries, and urgent patient care.
Save lives and prevent disabilities by supporting our efforts to deliver vital surgeries to underserved communities.
Imagine a father, the breadwinner, who dies from an untreated hernia, or a mother, the heart of the home, who succumbs to an infected gallstone, leaving families in shambles and trapping children in poverty.
Picture a farmer who loses his sight because of cataracts, preventing him from tilling his fields and supporting his family.
Medical complications from treatable conditions lead to preventable deaths and disabilities in working-age men and women, perpetuating the cycle of poverty.
In Bohol, a disaster-hit rural province, the median yearly family income is only $1,770. Major elective surgeries like hernia repairs and cholecystectomies cost over $1,500, and cataract surgery around $1,000, making them unaffordable for many.
In April 2026, we will bring a team of volunteer doctors and nurses to provide major elective and cataract surgeries at no cost to indigent patients.
Volunteer surgeons perform a major elective surgery during our medical mission at Don Emilio Del Valle Hospital, Bohol, Philippines, February 2025.
We still need to cover hospital fees, medications, and supplies, but thanks to strategic partnerships, we have drastically reduced costs to just around $250 per surgery. We plan to perform 275 of these procedures in one mission trip, changing 275 lives for the better!
With your generosity, we can do even more!
When you donate to our medical mission, you are not just giving money. You are offering a second chance at life. Your contribution means someone in the Philippines can finally receive the care they desperately need.
Help break the cycle of poverty. Donate to our medical mission and give families hope for a brighter future!
