Goal

Hi everyone!

I’m excited and deeply grateful to share that I’ve been given the opportunity to return to the Philippines this April with HAND-Philippines for another medical mission trip.

Over my past years volunteering with this incredible organization as an RN, I’ve had the privilege of serving alongside dedicated local healthcare professionals to provide care to over 1,200 patients across underserved communities. From triaging patients to helping with minor surgical procedures, every day has been a powerful reminder of why I chose this profession. More importantly, I’ve witnessed firsthand the resilience, warmth, and strength of the Filipino people—experiences that have profoundly shaped both my career and my life.

This year’s mission will focus on expanding the Mobile Community Clinic even further, while also providing life-changing and life-saving surgeries in Bohol, where many families simply cannot afford the care they need. Conditions that are treatable—like hernias, gallstones, and cataracts—often go unaddressed, leading to preventable suffering, disability, and even death. These aren’t just medical issues; they impact entire families and communities, affecting their ability to work, care for loved ones, and break the cycle of poverty.

I am currently raising funds to cover my medical mission fee, which directly supports the cost of supplies, medications, and care for these patients.

If you feel called to support this mission, any contribution—big or small—truly makes a difference. And if you’re unable to give, sharing this fundraising page means just as much.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me and for helping us bring hope, healing, and dignity to those who need it most.

With gratitude,

Ashley
