Goal
We have been waiting on God and praying for a larger building for 5+ years. Morgan United Methodist Church has been praying with open hearts for God to use their facility and congregation to further His kingdom. Both of us have had our hands open ready to give Jesus our YES.
On our last workday of the year, December 23, 2022, we were invited to tour Morgan United Methodist Church. After Pastor Matt gave us a tour and we prayed together, we realized both organizations were praying for the same thing. On January 15, 2023, the church unanimously approved our proposal to share the space for community and kingdom purposes.
January 29, 2023 - Morgan & GKC signed an agreement outlining the partnership.
Welcome to the story God is unfolding. Phase 1 is almost complete and we will begin Phase 2 in May 2023. We anticipate needing $442,000 for the entire project which will allow us to move the Headquarters of FeedBHM, our food rescue initiative, to Morgan UMC's current education building. Thanks to some generous early adopters' donations, we currently still need $325,000. We will be receiving and distributing food to partners, from the Morgan UMC location, and continuing to operate our current drive-thru locations around the community. We will also be using the basement for our "other" programs and coming alongside the existing Morgan UMC garden project to Grow More and Give More, alongside our friends from Jefferson County Master Gardeners.
Serving the Lord together brings such JOY!Getting our hands dirty!
Who knew unloading a truck could be such FUN?!
We cannot wait to see what God will do with our collective YES! Someone from the Grace Klein Community team will be onsite, Monday thru Friday, from 9-4 pm, beginning April 3, 2023. Consider investing financially in the project, bringing your entire team for a work day, or coming with your family for a tour.
Keep up with us on social and watch the miracles unfold!!
