Miles for Migraine Giving Tuesday 2020
Migraine is a highly stigmatized disease, often leaving patients feeling frustrated and alone. Miles for Migraine breaks down stigma by building strong support communities, giving migraine patients a safe space to find and use their voice.
This #GivingTuesday, join Miles for Migraine in empowering migraine patients to live full and productive lives by reducing stigma and advancing research, education and treatment.
“This was the first time that I stepped out of my box that I placed myself in because I felt alone in this migraine battle. I must say I felt encouraged and rejuvenated to leave the box behind and live my life in spite of the daily pains and struggles.”

I’ve lived with migraines since I was five years old. My parents and doctors had no idea what was wrong with me. I’d wake up in the middle of the night and vomit. There’s something else that I never told anyone until I was an adult and became a nurse. I felt the wall in my bedroom was moving towards me and then away. My older son reported a similar thing to me when he was a child. These are characteristic of childhood migraines.
