This is Mike’s Mission ❤️

Mike’s Mission is an organization grown from the love and respect that Mike Chamberlin had for the students of Toledo Public Schools, specifically, Pickett Elementary, where he taught as a gym teacher for almost 30 years. During his time there he was more than a teacher to many of his students; he was a mentor, and many times became like family. He invited his students into his life and into his home. He was known to provide clothing, Christmas gifts, and even helped past students who fell on hard times when they needed him. Mike's Mission has been formed to continue his work and give back to the community that he loved.

Projects we have completed thus far include:

Donating winter items to Pickett Academy in Toledo, OH, including:

 44 coats
84 winter hats
66 pairs of socks
31 pairs of tights
49 pairs of gloves
7 uniform shirts
13 uniform sweaters
 5 headbands

A donation of $600 to assist in the purchase of basketball uniforms for Pickett Academy's new basketball teams

Providing meals for 18 ICU nurses at the University of Toledo Medical Center during COVID-19 outbreak

Funds donated will be used for many projects throughout the year as needs arise within the district. We are in direct communication with the school and will continue to assist as needed. Currently, with schools not in session, we have shifted the focus to assisting our frontline healthcare workers who are putting their lives on the line to get us through this pandemic.
