Michael Hunt Memorial Fund

Family and friends of Michael Hunt established this endowment as a permanent memorial to this well-known local business leader and community volunteer. Mike died in Sept., 2003, after a yearlong battle with cancer. He was a former partner of Sigmund-McLean, Hunt and Associates Insurance Agency, and he was the owner of Omni Insurance Agency. Mike was an active supporter of the Beckley Kiwanis Club, the Women’s Resource Center, the local Salvation Army, Beckley-Raleigh County YMCA and United Way. Half of the income from the fund will be used to maintain the Harrah Cemetery and half will be awarded to the Salvation Army.
