Student Emergency Fund
To help students facing unexpected and urgent needs during the COVID-19 pandemic, MIAD has expanded its Student Emergency Fund.
To date, more than 727 student requests have been granted and the college has disbursed more than $99,000 to students.
Because needs are expected to continue throughout the summer, the college and its Board of Trustees have announced a $50,000 match in new gifts.
We know that times of trial and uncertainty disproportionately affect those at a financial disadvantage. Nearly 44% of our students are Pell-grant eligible (lowest-income). While we all may experience some economic impact at this time, these students and their families are likely to experience significant and ongoing impact.
Thank you for your concern and your support in helping our students continue on their academic and career paths.
