Support Metro Transit Workers Recover After Devastating Loss
When wildfires swept through Los Angeles County, they left a path of destruction that changed lives forever. Among those impacted are LA Metro employees, dedicated transit workers who lost their primary residences to the wildfires. Despite their own personal heartbreak, these remarkable transit workers, operators, mechanics, and countless others continue to show up, ensuring LA County communities stay connected during this time of crisis.
The California Transportation Foundation (CTF) has partnered with Metro to create the LA Metro Wildfire Relief Assistance Fund to support these brave and selfless employees as they begin to rebuild their lives.
Your Contribution Makes a Difference
Every dollar you donate goes directly to Metro employees whose homes were lost in the fires. By giving to the CTF LA Metro Wildfire Relief Assistance Fund, you are not only helping families recover; you are standing in solidarity with those who tirelessly serve our transit community, even in the face of their own adversity.
About the LA Metro Wildfire Relief Assistance Fund
On January 7, 2025, Governor Gavin Newsom declared a State of Emergency for Los Angeles and Ventura Counties following devastating wildfires. In response, Metro and CTF established this fund to provide direct financial assistance to affected employees.
How Donations Are Used
All donations to the fund are tax-deductible and will be distributed among impacted Metro employees. Your generosity helps them rebuild their homes, lives, and hope for the future.
Together, We Can Help Metro Transit Workers Rebuild and Recover
Now is the time to come together as a transportation community. Your donation is more than financial relief, it’s a powerful reminder that we stand together and support one another in times of need.
