Metal for a Cure: An Invitation to Help Fund NF2 Research

Alter Trading is proud to launch Metal for a Cure, a 4th quarter fundraising campaign supporting the Cure NF2 Foundation and its efforts to advance research toward a cure for NF2-related schwannomatosis.

NF2 is a rare genetic disease that causes tumors to grow on nerves, often affecting the brain, spine, and other parts of the nervous system. Over time, these tumors can cause significant and permanent damage, including loss of hearing, vision, mobility, and other functions.

For parents and loved ones, watching this disease slowly take away a child's ability to see, hear, move, and experience everyday life can be devastating. Research into gene therapy offers hope for changing the future for children and adults living with NF2, and this campaign is helping support that important work.

There are several ways to support Metal for a Cure.

Option 1: Donate qualifying metal materials at participating Alter facilities, where the value of the donated metal will support this foundation through a special charity account. Contact 314-872-2400 and ask for the facility nearest to you to learn more.

Option 2: Make a cash donation directly to the Cure NF2 Foundation through this page.
