We all know of people who have found themselves in difficult circumstances and can use some help.  How many people delay going to the doctor’s, because they can’t afford to even walk in the door?  In providing your support, you’ll be preserving and sharing a treasure in our midst, and continuing a tradition of neighborly caring that began more than 78 years ago.

I donate because I was inspired by a colleague who told me to start small, when I could not afford to be very charitable. Choose a cause that's dear to your heart, and give what you can, she said. I started donating to Merwin Clinic many years ago, in small amounts as I could afford. It may not be much, but I was inspired by my colleague, who said even the smallest amount helps. She is no longer with us, but every time I give to Merwin Clinic, I think of her. I used to live in Brighton and lived paycheck to paycheck, barely scraping by. When my cat needed medical attention, I was distressed at what the cost might be and what I would have to go without that month. I appreciate the good work you do for pet owners who may not be able to afford much but need the comfort of an animal around the house. Keep up the good work!
