1. Who am I? I am a born and raised Clay County resident who benefited from the time that our schools were the reason people moved into our area. I am the daughter of Clay County Fire Fighters, now retired, who dedicated years of service to keep our community safe. I am the daughter of a mom who proudly served our nation through the Navy Reserves, though she was activated multiple times. I am a mother of children currently going through our broken school system. Finally, I am a veteran teacher who sees firsthand the collapse of our education system. 
2. Why should you take the time to hear me out? With everything going on in our county, and truthfully in our country as a whole, and with all of the options you currently have and may be presented with, I have a lot to say. I plan to present the truth of what is happening in our school system, both as an educator and as a parent. Both sides see what is happening but are terrified to speak out for fear of being shut out or laughed out of the room. I am offering the opportunity for our community to gain a voice, and through my campaign, to make a difference. If we fight today to fix our broken education system and put it back on the right path we will improve not only the classroom environment but also our community’s standard of living and reduce the crime rate.

These open forums will allow us to focus on a specific topic and will become the focus of the week. Within these events, I am asking for the community to interact positively by sharing their experiences (the good, the bad and the UGLY) and ask the hard questions. 
4. My ultimate goal is to bring the community back into the schools to help us raise the standards for our education system.
