MEHP Carnival Mission Statement


The mission of Montessori Elementary at Highland Park (MEHP) is to cultivate ambitious,

fearless learners through intellectually stimulating, interactive experiences that awaken curiosity,

nurture advanced thinking, and promote independence.


In alignment with this mission, the MEHP Carnival is designed to invite our community into our

school's walls and playing fields, showcasing the profound impact of our educational philosophy

on Highland Park and its neighbors.

Carnival Goals


  1. Community Engagement: We welcome everyone from the surrounding neighborhood and area, inviting them to experience the transformative power of our school.
  2. Educational Activities: We will feature interactive booths, activities, and displays that demonstrate the advanced thinking and independence fostered in our students.
  3. Inclusivity: We aim to create a celebration that brings together people from all walks of life, highlighting the diversity and unity of Highland Park.
  4. Fundraising for a Cause: The carnival will raise awareness and funds for essential programs, including:(To be determined, but as an example)
    1. Educational support through MEHP assistants, tutoring, and Montessori-based materials
    2. The school's Health Clinic
