Goal
Hello, if you don’t know me, allow me to introduce myself, I’m Sicily.
Since 2023, I have been fighting with the Ukrainian army in the full scale invasion. For my service to the country I received six medals, one of which is a Presidential award.
During the war, I sustained multiple blast injuries.
In late 2023, I got hit in Avdiivka by a 152mm. I was hospitalised and put in an induced coma for several days. The traumatic injury resulted in the formation of a cyst. Since the cyst was relatively small back then, I decided to go back to the frontlines almost immediately. I served all 2024 without getting injured
Unfortunately, in the fall 2025 my vehicle got hit in two seperate occasions by FPV drones during a military operation in the south direction.
All these explosions resulted in a traumatic brain injury with persistent neurological symptoms. After the last injury, I got a complete check at the military hospital. In the medical check, the doctor identified again the colloid cyst of the third ventricle that was there since Avdiivka.
Back in 2023, the colloid cyst measured 9x10mm.
In 2025 after the last injury it measured 15x10mm, which means it is slowly but steadily growing. If it keeps growing it will be very dangerous.
The cyst alerted the medics that decided to send me back to the capital, Kyiv, in December 2025. The doctors of Ramadanova Neurological Institute did again all the checks on me and discovered the growing cyst was now blocking part of my Cerebrospinal fluid causing me to not be able to go back to the frontlines.
The Ramadanova Institute prescribed a palliative cure, that has no real effect on the long run and makes me unable to go back to the frontlines. Mostly a bunch of medicines with important side effects that would make me drowsy but not a real cure.
Having consulted with different specialists in Ukraine I understood that the best recommended solution is a minimally invasive endoscopic neurosurgical procedure, followed by a monitored recovery and structured neurological rehabilitation. This would allow me to go back to the frontline once the recovery period is over.
Due to the technical complexity of the procedure and timing constraints, this surgery cannot be performed within the Ukrainian public medical system without unacceptable risk (opening my skull like a coconut).
I recently spoke with several clinics in Europe and I finally found the one that is able to do the surgery very soon and in the least invasive way.
I’m asking you to support this campaign in any way you can to contribute for:
1) Neurosurgical intervention
2) Hospitalization and post-operative monitoring
3) Neurological rehabilitation
4) Recovery-related expenses directly linked to treatment
The objective is a full recovery and a return to operational capacity once medically cleared. All I want is to come back to Ukraine and keep doing what I have been doing for the past three years to the fullest of my ability but for that I do need help.
Thanks for reading this. Below you can find the medical certificates.
