Medical Fundraiser August 2026

This month, our medical work has ranged from essential preventative care to urgent surgery and treatment for devastating injuries. We are asking for your help to raise £1,700 towards the cost of caring for eight dogs who needed us.

Six female dogs have been spayed, protecting them from future pregnancies and reducing the number of unwanted puppies born into an already overwhelming stray dog crisis. Spaying also protects them from serious health conditions, including potentially fatal womb infections.

One patient needed to have a limb amputated. Amputation is a major operation, but for a dog living with a severely damaged or painful limb, it can provide freedom from suffering and the opportunity to adapt to a more comfortable life.

Treatment has also begun for Ayşe Michelle, the Doberman who suffered extensive burns. Her injuries require careful veterinary treatment, medication and continued monitoring as her wounds begin to heal. Recovery from injuries of this nature cannot be rushed, and we will remain beside her throughout the process.

The total cost of the six spays, the amputation and Ayşe Michelle’s initial burn treatment was £1,700. Every donation to this month’s fundraiser will help us cover these veterinary costs and ensure that we can continue responding when another vulnerable dog needs medical care.
