Me, You and the Lisbon Project
“Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant.” - Robert Louis Stevenson
The celebration of Christmas brings immense joy to each of us and has always been a moment of sharing with our families and loved ones. The smiles of our children, the hugs of our loved ones, memories that will stay with us forever: this is Christmas!
But Christmas is also a moment of reflection, of pause and it gives us the opportunity to look around us and see how many struggle every day to satisfy the most basic needs, sometimes alone and far from their countries and families. 2020 was a difficult year for many of us, but it was also a year that gave us hope and brought to light the values of solidarity, closeness, community. How many times have we said to each other "if we are together, everything will be fine"? And at the LP we really believe it!
For this Christmas we decided to join forces with meyouandlisbon.com , the blog behind "Lisbon for Parents" a community that while partnering with local brands and businesses offers support and services to families of expatriates and locals living in Lisbon. Together our communities will promote a fundraising campaign that aims to collect money and goods to support our migrant and refugee families.
