And if you went to Cass and never even heard of MC, but watch shows like Snowfall, P-Valley, Scandal or Power, or have seen broadways shows like Ain’t Too Proud or Skeleton Crew you’ve just encountered an MC Kid and have witnessed and felt her legacy. Whether it’s music, sports, fashion or politics, MC has produced major players in every arena. This documentary is a love letter to Detroit, the arts, and the woman who not only dared to dream but challenged us to make those dreams reality. 

It is no surprise Tony Award winning, Marilyn McCormick will be receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award as she is inducted into the Detroit Public School Hall of Fame.
