IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO HELP US!

Whether you have already donated or you are still considering whether to give, thank you for taking a look at our Giving Tuesday 2019 fundraising campaign page!

Through Hope for Tomorrow (our US-based 501(c)(3) partner organization), we are raising funds for the technology fund at Mayatan Bilingual School in Copan Ruinas, Honduras.

This year, we are asking for your help in raising funds for our computer lab and technology teaching resources.

There are 3 key areas in which any funds raised will be used: repairs and spares, consumables and classroom upgrades.

Our school's regular operating budget covers the costs of some basic IT equipment maintenance, repair, replacement and upgrade, however we could use a little extra help to make sure that we can make the best use of the equipment that we have for as long as possible. And, in terms of the consumables, it is our students and their families that contribute extra throughout the year.

Those of you that have been into a school in the last couple of years will know that a good modern classroom is a world away from what it was 15 or even 10 years ago. At Mayatan we have made great efforts over recent years to continue to fulfil our mission of providing the best bilingual education possible and we are proud with what we have been able to offer.

However, there are still many of our classrooms and in which we would love to be able to provide our teachers with more adequate teaching materials and resources. We're not aiming for smart-boards and a fully interactive and connected classroom environment, our aims are a lot more modest: we would like to be able to provide our teachers with unrestricted access to projectors or screens.
