Maya's Hope: Testing Device for a Boy with Aciduria

In Ukraine, parents of children with special needs are encouraged to hand their children over to state care. They are told their children are a burden on society. Children are sent to institutions where they are subjected to abuse and neglect. There is minimal support available to parents who fight to keep their children with them. Maya's Hope wants to help relieve some of the burden on these amazing parents and assist in keeping children with their families, where they belong.

"Good afternoon, dear friends. I haven't written about Gordyusha's health for a long time. Unfortunately, Germany refused us, citing the lack of seats as a reason. We also applied to Spain, because our doctors, unfortunately, do not use their efforts to save my child, although we regularly receive prescription drugs for support.  But we do not have special food.  Recently, the mother of a child with another type of aciduria sent us several cans of low-calorie and protein-free food on which Gordyusha, for the first time in almost 3 years, gained 150 grams of weight.  But this summer, today too, the child had a condition similar to a metabolic crisis (dizziness, headache, pain in the arms and legs, the child lay like a rag). It's scary that even calling an ambulance, because doctors have no idea about the disease, our geneticist says that a child needs to be measured for lactate and glucose in this condition, the first thing I can do at home.  If possible, can you help me a little to buy a device for measuring lactate and glucose? It is necessary for a child with such attacks, it is measured in intensive care, we need at least 2 times a month in normal health. With this device, we do not have to travel to the city to have blood taken. The cost of the device, test strips is too high for us alone. If you can help, at least something, to buy it, I will be sincerely grateful!"

Can you help make Gordey's life safer and more comfortable?
