Maya's Hope Lotus Ball, 13th Annual Gala

Since 2020, I have been volunteering with Maya's Hope, inspired by my experiences during the pandemic while I was in the Philippines. After returning safely to New York, I couldn’t shake the memories of the families living in poverty there. With the world on pause, I felt a strong urge to help. I discovered Maya's Hope and immediately signed up to volunteer. I began as a translator, and over time, I expanded my role to include conducting interviews. Last year, I became a Maya's Hope ambassador, proudly sharing our mission with the world.

I love my work and feel incredibly fortunate to be part of a dedicated team focused on helping children in need. When the war broke out in Ukraine, my desire to support affected families intensified. I split my time between the Philippines and Ukraine, and the passion and dedication of everyone involved fueled my commitment. Together, we have made a significant impact on the lives of many children and families, and I am proud of the work we’ve accomplished.

During my trip to the Philippines in 2022, I made it a priority to meet some of the children we’ve helped. I was truly moved by the strength of their mothers and the profound impact of our support. I will always remember their stories, smiles, and warm welcomes.

I am currently fundraising to provide essential needs, surgeries, and therapy for children in the Philippines and Ukraine. I firmly believe that every child deserves the chance to experience a joyful life.
