Maya's Hope Lotus Ball, 11th Annual Gala

After about two solid years as a volunteer serving distinct roles within Maya’s Hope, I had the opportunity to truly see and understand the needs of our children and their families. I was amazed at what our families were going thru and how they can manage with very little support financially, physically, and emotionally. There were happy moments but there were also many unforgettable sad times with our children. Life in the Philippines is hard, I cannot imagine living there with a special needs child with very little help. Hats off to our Maya’s Hope children and families.

As the first Maya's Hope Mission Ambassador, I am excited to announce that I have joined the Gala Host Committee again to support an organization I feel very passionately about, Maya's Hope.

Maya's Hope is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that works to improve the lives and futures of orphaned and impoverished children overseas, many abandoned due to disabilities. 

In addition to helping the children in the Philippines, Maya's Hope has served Ukraine for the last ten years, but their workload has increased tremendously due to the ongoing war in Ukraine. At the displacement height, they received one application for urgent assistance every 30 seconds to 1 minute!

I believe deeply in this organization and want to help make this our most successful Lotus Ball. The gala is in New York City on Wednesday, November 16th.

There is much more work to be done, especially with a brutal winter anticipated in Ukraine, and we continue to facilitate surgeries and immediate needs for children in the Philippines.
