For a long time, Mariyan’s family did not know that he had a severe form of ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). They didn’t understand why he had delayed development and was always behind his peers.
But when the family learned about his disorder, they all, with Mariyan’s effort, started to tackle it and do everything they could to support the child. Mariyan began to go to speech-language therapy to improve his verbal and social skills. He is still very closed off and only uses sounds to communicate, although he has been improving. He does not voice out his needs yet, which requires his family to watch over him at all times.
His continuous improvement depends on more sessions with a speech therapist and rehabilitation therapy. All the money that the family makes goes toward professional support to improve Maiyan's condition, which is especially important during wartime. But this often leaves no funds to cover essential needs. The family can rarely afford to buy healthy food, diapers, and hygiene products for Mariyan.
Can you help us raise $317 for Mariyan's essential needs?
