Maya's Hope: Therapy for a boy in Ukraine with paraparesis (partial paralysis of both legs)

Doctors diagnosed Davyd during his mother's pregnancy: an ultrasound revealed a congenital brain malformation.

Now Davyd is 6 years old. He is a kind, sensitive, and diligent boy. He has a congenital abnormality of the brain, lower paraparesis, damage to the musculoskeletal system, and other cognitive disorders.

Fortunately, therapy and systematic rehabilitation courses gave results: the boy began understanding a lot and tries to talk and express his wishes. Davyd also started to walk better and even tried to run!

Such fantastic results indicate that the treatment is working, but if it is stopped now, all these skills can be irrevocably lost. But Davyd's further treatment may not happen because the family's financial condition does not allow them to pay for it anymore.

Please help Davyd to undergo a course of therapy!

Maya's Hope work in Ukraine has not stopped for a moment since the beginning of the war. We have already supported over 7000 families who requested financial and humanitarian assistance and continue to carry on our important mission of serving children in need.

After almost 6 months of the war, the nature of requests for help has changed. Most of them are still based on the loss of regular full-time earnings and the inability to find a new source of income. But the priorities of children's needs have changed, and developmental therapy and rehabilitation courses have become the foreground again.

Maya’s Hope helps disadvantaged children living in poverty and helps provide hope by instilling value and purpose in each child.  www.mayashope.org
