Maya's Hope: Medicines for a Boy who has Epilepsy who has Developed Kidney Stones

In Ukraine, parents of children with special needs are encouraged to hand their children over to state care. They are told their children are a burden on society. Children are sent to institutions where they are subjected to abuse and neglect. There is minimal support available to parents who fight to keep their children with them. Maya's Hope wants to help relieve some of the burden on these amazing parents and assist in keeping children with their families, where they belong.

"Ilya was born in August 2017. The pregnancy was going well, this is the second long-awaited baby. Ilyusha was born with a weight of 2650 grams, height 51 cm, roundness of the head 31 cm. Everything was normal, the baby cried, but after the birth I noticed that something was wrong. His forehead was all red, the capillaries were broken, the doctor dragged us with childbirth, the baby was waterless for 15 hours. The pediatrician reassured us that all was well. But as it turned out, this is not the case. On the second day of Ilyushka's life, convulsions began, I changed his clothes and this is where it started and continues to this day. He stopped breathing, turned blue and was immediately responded to by doctors and taken to the pediatric intensive care unit. It is very difficult for me to go through all this again. Doctors told us so, if he comes out of it, they do not know how he will develop. Our son spent three weeks in the intensive care unit. There was everything - cardiac arrest, convulsions and no eating, he was on artificial respiration for three days. He had a hemorrhage in the head, damage to the cerebellum. We paid all the costs and medicines for the treatment ourselves. When Ilyushka was 7 or 8 months old, a doctor sent us to Kyiv, where she knew the examination, MRI, EEG, genetic examination and the conclusion of the trauma during childbirth. His seizures attack him again and again. During the day there could be up to 180 bouts of twitching, but there are stronger ones that can be once a week.

I turn to you again for financial assistance. Yesterday doctors examined Ilya, and again a new diagnosis. Kidney stones. They are severe. A bunch of drugs were prescribed again. I ask you if you can help us again. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏Thank you."

Can you help us purchase medicines to treat Ilya's kidney stones?
